Handwritten Letters ...

I miss writing letters. There is something about feeling the paper and placing the words in a handwriting all your own that makes a note or letter special. Not, times new roman, not sans serif, but a form that is unique to you. I look at old cards and I know that is my grandma, I find her in the loops, in the perfect print, her sweetness is right there in her handwriting or my Mom's how it speaks to me as if I were a child, slightly larger print from all her years of teaching kindergartner's. I think in some ways our soul is visible in our writing. I'm not talking about handwriting analysis. I'm just talking about a little bit of who we are spills onto the page when we write. It's memorable. It's important. It's something that we may want to try more often because it may help bring us just a little closer to one another, but that may just be me. I think I'll try and remember to handwrite letters more often. Maybe you will too ...

Love,
Jen

  1. I totally agree with you Jen. Handwritten documents are important and cursive is becoming a lost art. Many schools around the nation are not teaching it anymore. I think you're right about your soul being visible in your writing. A handwritten letter says so much.

    1. Thank you for your comment Kim. It's true they don't teach it as much in school. I think it's important and when we receive a handwritten letter it's nice.

      Enjoy your day,
      Jennifer
